Close the compartment after placing it on top of the battery’s positive (+) connector to keep it in place. If you do not make good contact with the battery and spring, your battery may continue to die.

While CR1616 batteries can fit into most CR1620 battery compartments, their use is not recommended as they have a lower capacity and smaller discharge/pulse current limits which can lead to malfunctions.

Can I Use A 2016 Battery Instead Of A 1620?

It won’t fit in the battery socket; that’s for sure. This is true because CR2016 is slightly larger and thinner than CR1620. CR1620 is 1.6mm thick and 20mm in diameter. 

Since the CR2016 has a diameter of 20 mm, it cannot be placed in a holder made to hold the CR1616. Because it is simply too broad, you cannot use CR2016 as the CR1620 battery alternative. 

Is 1620 Battery The Same As 1632?

There is no difference between the 1632 and 1620 battery types as they have the same volts and appearance. Depending on the application, switching from a CR1632 to a CR1620 battery should cause no harm. However, you will only get less useful performance if you use 1620 instead of 1632.
